Ramping up for Departure

Picking a travel bag

We will have retired by the end of December. We had thought for the longest time we would retire to Hawaii, straightaway. About three years ago we considered living in Paris, France before settling in Hawaii. That plan morphed into a 10-11 month RTW trip the does not include Paris. Yes, we had too much time on our hands for planning.
There have been a few obstacles related to the trip: what to bring, where to go, when to go. We started with two sources: Rick Steves and
Onebag.com. Onebag provided the information concerning "What to pack it in", and both provided tips on what to bring. The phrase "Pack light" is etched on my forehead. We chose the "MEI Voyager" mainly because it was highly recommended by Onebag. We have used it the past year for smaller trip and found it to be perfect: easy to carry, holds up well and looks great.
